Alan Sakar is committed to reducing the energy inequality gap and accelerating a successful energy transition. Alan has worked in the energy industry as transactional lawyer for 10 years and is a Senior Associate at Clifford Chance. He is a dual Mexican-US qualified member of the award-winning World Wide Projects Group at Clifford Chance. He advises sponsors, funds, development finance institutions and major commercial banks in the development and financing of energy projects in Mexico and Latin America, including landmark projects such as the largest wind farm in Latin America, the first large-scale solar and wind projects in Central America and several award-winning CCGTs in Mexico. He is frequently invited to participate in conferences to discuss industry best practices and has authored several energy-related articles. He was distinguished as leading international counsel by Legal 500 on Mexico's 2018 and 2019 Private Practice Power List. Alan holds a Masters in Law from Northwestern University (CONACYT Scholar), a Certificate in Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management, a Degree in Law from Universidad Iberoamericana and is a member of the Mexican Academy of Energy Law.
