My professional record comprises among others: planning, coordinating and implementing successful research initiatives for the public and private sector, which includes actively identifying and executing opportunities towards the assessment of geothermal resources for electricity generation and direct use in my home country. During my advanced training at the United Nations University Geothermal Training Programme, I had the opportunity to combine the technical expertise and knowledge of the Icelandic professionals with my work experience in a practical way.
The Institute for Geological and Energy Research (IIGE) in Ecuador was established by Executive Decree N˚ 399 on 15 May 2018, resulting from the merger of two research driven institutes in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy, geology, mining and metallurgy. IIGE`s mission is to generate and promote knowledge in the field of geology and energy, through scientific research, technical assistance and specialized services for the responsible use of renewable and non-renewable resources, contributing to decision-making for the benefit of society.
