Anik is a renewable energy professional with expertise in electricity generation, transmission, and distribution. In his current role with Ontario Power Generation (OPG), he is involved in the day-to-day Operational Optimization and Strategy of OPG’s Hydroelectric fleet, providing clean energy to over three million homes. Previously, he worked in planning and execution of a wide range of multi-disciplinary projects and initiatives comprising regulatory affairs, renewable energy infrastructure projects, and asset management programs. Apart from his professional career, he serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Engineers without Borders Bangladesh, a non-profit organization providing off-grid electricity and clean water in rural Bangladesh. He is also a member of the Young Energy Professionals Canada and UN SDG7 Youth Constituency and serves as the Vice-Chair at the Canadian Dam Association’s Young Professionals committee. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional (PMP®).
