Since 2013, Carolina works for Endesa, the largest electric utility company in Spain, in the regulatory department. She is involved in a variety of topics, ranging from retail or distribution regulation to the management of relationships with the national regulator in topics such as regulatory audits. Lately, Carolina has taken a leadership role in designing and proposing market design and regulatory solutions for demand management and for the development of flexibility markets in distribution grids, two of the most advanced topics in the implementation of the latest European energy legislation. In 2018, Carolina was elected Chair of the WG Business Models and Networks Customers at Eurelectric, the European Association that represents the electricity industry in Europe. Before that and for 3 years, she worked for Eurelectric as Policy Advisor on matters related to Public Affairs. Her main activities were to build relations with stakeholders and implementing eurelectric´s advocacy before the European institutions in the fields of active grids, smart meters, innovation, flexibility, etc. Carolina participates in several groups and organisations at national and international level on electricity matter. She holds an industrial engineering degree and she speaks Spanish, English and French.
