Guillaume Bence-Hébert is a Principal Consultant at Jacobs Strategic Consulting. A licensed engineer, he is responsible for the due diligence evaluation process of alternative energy sources projects, as well as for the assessment of the energy efficiency, resiliency and sustainability aspects for the built environment. He also specialises in risk assessment and management, advising on the technical, commercial and financial aspects of public–private partnership infrastructure projects, including for mandates with Capex values in excess of $1 billion. Guillaume’s experience as a technical professional ranges from alternative finance and procurement delivery, to risk management and secondary market transaction advisory. A graduate from the University of Toronto’s civil engineering department, Guillaume enhanced his understanding of the climate and energy challenges facing our modern society by completing his master’s degree in Energy Science, Technology and Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. Throughout the programme, Guillaume’s research focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation, energy policy, and sustainable development. A mentor and tutor for high school students through a local Toronto-based community programme, he also acts as a mentor for University of Toronto undergraduate and graduate students.
