Margarett is co-founder of Peru Young Energy Professional – PYEP. Margarett has experience gained in the Latin American energy market, specifically in the areas of in-house counsel and the Energy sector. Her expertise includes specialized consultancy to governmental authorities, regulatory agencies, and power companies with regard to energy regulation and public policies. She worked as a senior associate at top-tier Peruvian and Chilean legal firms. Prior, she was legal counsel in-house at the Peruvian Independent System Operator and Administrator (COES). Member of (WIN) Women in Energy – Peru and (ASIDE) Iberoamerican Energy Law Association. Margarett holds a LL.B. (J.D. equivalent) from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru. Currently, she is a Master of Law candidate with a Certificate of Specialization in Energy and Clean Tech Law at UC Berkeley, California, U.S., as a Fulbright Scholar. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
