Meriem has been involved in energy sector since 2008, with more focus on renewable technologies during development and execution phases, allowing her to have a unique experience and understanding of energy and power plants. She has gained significant experience as Project Manager in achieving world records such as the world’s largest CSP Project with the lowest tariff (DEWA Hybrid CSP/PV project 950MW with 700MW CSP technology), and the first IPP framework in Dubai with the lowest PV tariff in 2014 (DEWA Phase II 200MW PV), delivering valued projects to the region. She has managed and supported the development of many other renewable projects developed by ACWA Power of different technologies involving wind, PV and CSP. She was involved in the execution of both renewable and conventional projects technologies, including the first ISCC projects in the world (Hassi R’Mel-Algeria), Solaben CSP-Spain and Baja California IV combustion, where she gained a lot of experience from an execution perspective. Meriem has been awarded the Women in Renewables for 2019 by WIRA and recognized as finalist for MEED Female Leaders across all the industries. Her goal is to reduce climate change impact by delivering more affordable renewable and clean energy at lowest tariffs possible.
