My name is Mihaela and I have a Master’s degree in Private International Law with a focus on International Arbitration from the Sorbonne University in Paris. After completing my studies I did a 6-month internship at the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg. I am currently a Senior Legal Advisor in the Ministry of Energy of Bulgaria. During the last five years I have been involved in several projects at national and EU level such as being part of the team of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, being a coordinator of the development of the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan of Bulgaria and the Territorial Just Transition Plans of Bulgaria etc. I am also responsible for the transposition of EU energy legislation into Bulgarian legislation. I am also working with different European and international organizations such as the European Commission, the Energy Community, the World Bank, OECD etc. I am a Certified Negotiation Facilitator from the Vienna School of Negotiations.    

I am currently a Senior Legal Advisor in the Ministry of Energy of Bulgaria. I have been working in the Ministry for 5 years in the department responsible for the development of the national energy policies and strategies as well as for the transposition of EU legislation in national law.
