Omar works as an Operations Supervisor in New England Electric Operations, which is responsible for maintaining and constructing National Grid’s electric distribution system. Previously, he was a member of Environmental Transactions at National Grid, where his team was responsible for procuring renewable energy such as solar, hydropower, land-based wind, and offshore wind and managing a $16B US Dollar portfolio of over 152 renewable energy projects totaling over 3,500 megawatts of capacity, including the first offshore windfarm in the United States. Prior to joining National Grid Omar worked in consulting at Ernst & Young. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from New York University and his Master of Business Administration at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. Omar is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional.
