Ossi Ikonen
Business Development Manager
Neste
I am a development oriented energy & sustainability business professional (M.Sc. in Energy Technology plus Specialist Degree in Management), and have 8 years of postgraduate work experience in the energy & sustainability field in large international companies. I have worked many years in the forest industry sector as a Energy Development Manager, leading international projects in the field of energy efficiency, energy markets, sustainable energy use and CO2 -emission reductions. I have also worked in multiple associations in the Finnish energy sector, focusing on influencing national and EU level energy regulatory development and climate policy preparations. Currently, I work as a Business Development Manager in Neste Corporation Innovation department, focusing on creating new sustainable global scale business solutions in close collaboration with external partners and stakeholders. Having both studied and worked also outside Finland, e.g. in Thailand and China, I believe that the game-changing solutions for the energy transition challenges are global, and joint collaboration with people from different countries and cultures is the key success factor in building a better future for our children and planet.
